Glory be to God, Christ has risen! Perhaps one of the most powerful three words ever spoken. To know that your sins were taken to the cross by Jesus and to know that death is not the end is cause for praise and celebration. There are non greater promises and words of assurance then those in the Bible.
These words spoken by God and his son Jesus Christ are what give Christians the strength, courage, and faith to be better equipped for life’s pitfalls. They also make us happier in general. A recent book by Oxford University Press, “Handbook of Religion and Health”, reveals this. The book reviewed 326 articles on the correlation between having faith and being happy and found that 79% of those studies reported that in deed religious people were happier then those not religious. As the secular world continues to devolve further into chaos and immorality the true believer has this promise of salvation to give him comfort. John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believers in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” May these words that Jesus spoke and all the words in the Bible strengthen you, guide you, and give you hope.
