“Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put in your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get.”

Luke 6:38

Dear Friends in Christ,

God is so good. Even in trying times God always comes through. He is always faithful and He always provides. We all have a lot to be thankful for. When we give, it is in response to what God has first given us. That’s the underlying principle of the Scripture verse above from Luke 6. In this verse, Jesus is teaching that our giving will be measured, and returned to us. We just can’t outgive God. We have a generous and loving God. It is interesting to note that one-sixth of everything Jesus taught had a reference to money and material things. That is true for one-third of all the Parables also. That is just a bit of teaching on Biblical Stewardship.

We will not be conducting a Stewardship Program this Fall as previously discussed. The focus has changed to raising money specifically for gutter replacements and some exterior repairs. The Stewardship Committee will be coming up with some ideas to promote this and hopefully get the job done before Winter. Along with that there are several fund raisers being considered.

As Summer comes to a close and Fall arrives, the schedule at Church will change. Worship Service will be at 10:15 starting September 11. September 18, Children’s’ Sunday School will begin at 9:15 and so will the Crossways Adult Bible Study. Confirmation Class will start up again September 18 following the Worship Service.

Hope you have a great rest of the Summer and I look forward to seeing you soon. And Go Phillies!

May God richly bless you,
Pastor Dan
